Progression of Grounds
The following 12 pictures show the progression of the grounds from rough sloping ground to nearly croquet lawns (and some regression due to weather and lack of respect by some of the local Yobs) this took from 1984 to 1987. It was at this time that it was realised that someone had made a Boo Boo of the dimension, so the area was extended (2 more pictures) in 1988.
Above is the Newport Croquet ground on the new recreation ground which has just been flattened at a cost of £925.
Very pleased with it but we've got a vast amount more of work to do on it.
